does this mean that there is a waiting list for those wanting to join this board as premium members?

No, but thanks for asking. It would be a shame if there is confusion on this.

A few years ago, Groupee started to move away from forum development and more into social networking, sort of like my space and face book. I can't say more than that because I honestly haven't paid much attention to it. The waiting list they refer to there is for their social networking site.

While Groupee still handles the payments and registration process for our Gold Star members, you don't access it through their main site but through here: Become a Premium Member.

Hope that clears up any confusion.

If you have any other questions, let us know.

the reason this came up is that my credit card expired/renewed just at the moment when Groupee attempted to do the autopay that I had set up for the annual renewal. So I got an email from Goupee advising that the autopay had failed. I knew that even though my card autorenewed with the same card nember, the new cards has a new expiration date, and so I still had to tell Groupee the new date so that their system would use it, and not the old expired one. The email I received from Groupee told me to click to Groupee, which I did. That sent me to a page where Groupee asked me to log in. The log in failed and the error meesage was that no new members were being accepted. I assumed that because the payment had failed, my Groupee membership had been suspended and so, I assumed, Groupee thought I was a wannabe new premium member. A lot of folks would have given up on having a premium membership at that point. But I tried a Hail Mary. I went to Slow Travel and got to my Groupee account that way, and updated my credit card. All is well, but that is a half hour I never will get back. Needless to say, the email that Groupee sent me was not their best work (or anyone's best work). And, it nearly cost you $25.

I hate to tell you this, but two things, I don't see a record of your transaction - which doesn't mean it didn't go through but it may not have. If you membership expired, and you had a bad card, groupee the auto-renew function will not work. Also the membership is $30, not $25.

If you the transaction doesn't appear on our system (and your corresponding gold star) by the morning, I will e-mail you, and we will get this worked out - not to worry. I'm sorry for your inconvenience.
