I submitted a trip report over a week ago (#712) (At least I think I submitted it?). Is there anything else I need to do or should I just be more patient ?

You sent your request in for publication one week ago today (7/27); it usually takes one to two weeks for publication especially with the increased submissions due to the contest. Currently there are about five ahead of you in the queue at the rate of one a day, you should see yours published sometime on Sunday or Monday.
