I've also gotten that message on occasion. I haven't been keeping track of when it happens to notice any patterns. Is it still happening? I don't think it is your connection especially if it only happens on Slow Travel. It may be some slowness at Groupee where Slow Talk is hosted or some connection in the 'network cloud' between your computer and Groupee. Let's watch and see if it continues. If so, I'll log a trouble ticket with Groupee.
