Sometimes I have wanted to paste information or a URL into a reply that I am making to someone else's post, but I don't see a feature that allows me to do it.

Is it possible?

Thanks for responding, Pauline, but I'm sorry to report I still haven't been able to do it. The instructions I get from How-To give me two options:

First is that I use a pull down Edit menu and select Paste. But when I reply to someone else's post on the board, an independent dialogue box pops up for me to write in, and that box doesn't have a top bar with pull-down menu options. Is this because I'm using Explorer as my browser? Or am I looking in the wrong place for the dropdown Edit menu.

The second option offered is to use Control + P to paste. But when I try that on my keyboard, I get a "Print" prompt.


(Also, if I try "highlight and drag", I can't get both my reply window and the text I'm dragging to appear on my screen at the same time.)

Any thoughts?

Aha! Scratch that. It's not Control + P. It's Control + V.

You might want to change that on the instructions for how to insert copy from a Word document.

Thanks Soprano, I updated the HELP - How To page. There were a couple of out of date parts and that CTRL P error. I think it reads better now.

I changed it to use the right click for copy and paste in all instances - that works for the input boxes. And I put a note at the bottom about CTRL C and CTRL V (which are nice shortcuts to know).
