So what's with the ad at the top of the page showing a variety of Oriental women with their ages, heights, etc? I tried to attach a 'snapshot' of the page but it won't publish here.

Barb, if you (or anyone else) sees it again, snag it. That way we have the company and can have them blocked.

Thanks.

I disabled Adblock so I could see what was happening, but no ad for Asian women. (BTW Barb, you can right-click and then see "properties" which would give the URL.)

But I did get to see an ad for choir tours, which appears to be the amateur musicians' version of vanity press (or self-publishing, as it is now known). Interesing...

But now I'll go back to Adblock.

I captured a snapshot of it - can I email it to someone so you can see it? It won't attach here.

It's there again today. Kim, I just sent you an email. the ay to 'capture' a webpage is to hit the CRTL key and the PRT SCR key. this copies it, then you open Word and hit CTRL V to paste it into the Word document.

when I did as Marian suggested and right clicked on the ad, then opend "Properties", this is the URL listed:

Is this the same URL? - maybe so...

Okay, so it automatically leaves out the middle part - I guess!

Everyone it is possible that your computer is infected with a program like a worm, I know I got one recently part of which was called MSA.EXE. It screws up the internet and slows the computer down, I got rid of it with some trouble.

I can see the graphic when I click Barb's link. It is coming from Google. We can get it removed from our ad rotation.

I took a look at the thread titles on the main page. I suspect it is coming up because thread in Jokes for "Men and Women". Google probably saw that and decided dating ads were relevant. NOT! I bet this thread title isn't helping either. Smile

Shoot that's the link to the graphic but not to the actual website...that's what we need. I'm still not seeing it, so if you see it, right click it and copy link location if possible.

Is anyone brave enough (or foolish enough) to click on the red "Join For Free" button?

Barb, you copied the image location. When I right click, I get two (among multiple) options - one says, copy link location and the other says, copy image location. I need the former.

I keep trying to get the ad on my machine but so far no luck.

Kim, when I right click and click on "Properties" all I get is the GIF info, I realize that now. When I just right click on the ad (image) what I see in the drop down box is this list:

Open Link
Open Link in New Tab
Open Link in New Window
Save Target As...
Print Target

Save Picture As...
Email Picture...
Print Picture...
Go To My Pictures
Set as Background

Copy
Copy Shortcut

They will probably be with us over the weekend. IB has to submit them to Google to get them out of our ad rotation and we'll have to wait until Monday.

Okay - I'm actually feeling left out that I didn't see it. Smile. I'm still getting ads for Qantas and Escorted European tours.
