I got inspired today and started working on photos from the middle part of our trip. I haven't worked on photos for a couple of months (and maybe the software has changed), but I am fuzzy on a couple of things:

1. How do I "pick" the thumbnail I want to represent an album on the page that lists all my photo albums? This had seemed pretty easy to me before, but now I can't seem to find how to do it. The automatic selection is the last photo posted...

2. I have been setting up all my photo albums (tied to the various segments of our trip) in my member gallery. Is that the way I should do it? (This is also tied as a link in my blog.) If someone wants to look at photos from say, Burgundy (what I'm almost finished with), how do they find their way to my photo album?

3. I also don't quite understand how to upload a whole group of photos, though I read the instructions. How do I "zip" these together, upload them all to one album, and then deal with them individually?

1. Go into the album, click on the photo you want to be the index thumb and you will see a link under the photo - Make this the index thumb.

2. Yes, put each essay in your member gallery, but you can link each essay to a category on the board. So link the Burgandy essay to the France category. You will see the option to do this in the edit albums section.

3. On your computer, get the list of files. Highlight them all, right click, select Send to > Compressed folder. This is a windows function and it will zip the selected files together into one.

Remember to set the resolution to 72ppi.

On the album thumbnail question-- what link? I see "Admin Option - Edit Photo" but when I click there and go to the next page, I don't see what to do...

You need to click on the "My Albums" option, then to the right of the album you want to edit (under ACTIONS) click on "Sort Photos." Under each photo is the option to make it the "Album Cover."
