For several days, everytime I try to get onto slowtrav.com, my browser gets hung up, frozen, whatever you call it. No problem with slowtalk though. I did just change my email address, but I updated my profile and as I said, can get onto the message boards just fine. Any advice?
Thanks, Pauline. That link seems to have the same problem. I just get a perpetual "loading" message. I've tried various ways to get to reviews for both Italy and France, including the top link to "Vacation Rentals" to the "shortcuts" link on the side bar. Even when I just try to go to the slowtrav homepage. Very strange. I've never had this problem before.
It must be this new computer (a mac) or the browser on it (both Safari and Firefox are giving me the same problem). I just got onto the site easily on the old PC running Explorer. Does this make sense to anyone that is more computer savvy than I (not that that's saying much). So much for the mac making my life easier; this only confirms one of my rationales for travelling abroad which is to get away from computers, cell phones, etc!
Sounds like a very similar problem; interesting that yours was also Firefox. I have an earlier version, tho it was just installed last week. Guess I'll just hope for it to resolve itself. In the meantime, if anyone else has ideas, I'm here.
Did you read Palma's advice above, about emptying the cache? On a PC with IE, you can delete temporary internet files - that sometimes causes this kind of problem.
