OK, I now know that I can't delete my own post.

But I tried to edit my last post by clicking (several times) on the red rectangle, but nothing happened.

The Edit button is something I use more than anything else - what's changed, or what am I doing wrong?

The Edit button did work here... I was able to add this part. Don't know what was going on with the other post.

There is a limited amount of time in which you can edit your post. I think it is 60 minutes. If you try to go back after that period of time, you can't edit your post.

I have found that I have to hold down my control key while clicking on the edit button (provided, of course, that I am within the editing time frame window). My pop-up software treats it like a pop-up now. I don't know why that would be.

Yes, that I know.

But I was trying to edit my message 8 seconds after I posted it...

Do you remember which forum that was on? You can still do it here, correct?

Yep - edit still works here.

But it might also work in the other forum at this point.

Perhaps this was the problem: What I've just discovered is that if the page you're viewing is still loading from the original post - say there are pictures on it, for example - you can't edit until it is completely loaded.

Interesting Ann. I was looking to see if the edit feature might be by forum but couldn't find any indication. Bottegal, do me a favor, and try again in the original forum just to see if it's still a problem.

Another experiment:

I was in one of the forums and tried to edit my post. I clicked on Edit once, twice, a bunch.

Nothing.

So I looked at my post to see if it was OK as it was, and it wasn't... I needed to edit it!

(Note: no pics in that thread.)

So I clicked Edit again; then I clicked maybe 100 times; then perhaps thousands.

Anyway, out of frustration I was madly clicking that little red box, when all of a sudden the edit window came up.

Ever since then, I've had no problem editing in any forum.
