There is a limited amount of time in which you can edit your post. I think it is 60 minutes. If you try to go back after that period of time, you can't edit your post.

I have found that I have to hold down my control key while clicking on the edit button (provided, of course, that I am within the editing time frame window). My pop-up software treats it like a pop-up now. I don't know why that would be.

Perhaps this was the problem: What I've just discovered is that if the page you're viewing is still loading from the original post - say there are pictures on it, for example - you can't edit until it is completely loaded.
Interesting Ann. I was looking to see if the edit feature might be by forum but couldn't find any indication. Bottegal, do me a favor, and try again in the original forum just to see if it's still a problem.
