I just noticed that the 'edit/delete' button now has a red box around it! What other changes have I missed?

Any chance we'll be able to edit our own posts for more the 60 minutes?

Have a look in the Announcements forum - I posted about the changes.

We cannot allow editing after 60 minutes because of the way the software is designed. If we allow longer editing, people go back and change posts and we never know they get changed.

Someone did this and it was upsetting to see them "rewrite history". We only found it by chance.

For example, someone posts "Pauline is a Queen". Then 5 days later, when the thread was off the first screen, they edit it to say "Pauline is a Queen @#$%!" and we don't see it, but the search engines index that text.

Sorry, guess I missed the announcement...I do try to keep up with them. As for the editing, of course I never even think about the situations you referred to....usually I want to go back to edit when I see all the typos I've made!!!
