I hadn't created a photo album for quite awhile, and as usual it was fun and easy. What I forgot how to do is link the album to a post on the message board. To see my problem directly, go to my recent post on the message board - Italy "Photo Album Posted: Rome May 07" and you will see that I didn't know how to link the photo album to the posting, and Colleen needed to fix it. Can you help me remember how that is done?
Also, I started to compose this album, then I set it aside for awhile, then I started to work on it again. Is there any way to keep it from being viewed until it is finished? This isn't an important question to me - I was just curious.

I did not see the link before it was fixed so I'm not certain what you did wrong. It is possible that the link included some of your login information or was to your personal album area

An easy way to get the link that will work is to
- Click My Albums
- Find your album and click on the name.
- That will take you to your album. The link will usually say showgallery.php?cat=xxx.

There are probably other ways to get there also.

There might be a way to prevent your album from showing until you are done is to make the album private first and then remove the private option when you are finished. I don't know if that 'hides' the photos you have uploaded also. I'll give that a test later on today and report back.

The only 'problem' with this method is to remember to make it public when you are done and before you post a link. With my memory, I'd probably forget.

Marta gave you the key to posting a link to your album.

Before I fixed the link, instead of "showgallery" the link showed "sortphotos" - so I could tell it was a secure area.

Nice photos, by the way! LOVED the Capitoline horse with fresco in the background.

Colleen, now I get it! I linked to my "sorting" page instead of my album itself. I'd never had any trouble before with my method, so now I see what went wrong. Thanks!
I too like the Capitaline horse and the one called Gush.
OK - Now I'm inspired to work on my next ones- Tuscany, Castello di Lamole
and Tuscany, Near Monticchielo (I'd better check the spelling!)
And I guess there's no reason not to show work in progress, although someone might think that that's all there is and never go back. Slim chance. I'll just get started.
