I know that a tremendous amount of work goes into continuously improving the message board... it has evolved so much in the three years I've been involved. Thank you! I think the recent changes are for the better, and I especially like the descriptions of what each of the various message boards are about.
I have a suggestion for the Everything Else board, really based on a comment by Robert Rainey re. Ginger's post on frequent flyer miles. Have you thought about splitting the Everything Else board and separating the travel-related topics (not related to a particular country or region) from all the other things we like to talk about? I'm thinking of all the general travel topics: airlines, travel insurance, packing, credit cards, etc. There is such a hodge-podge of "stuff" on the EE board right now, it is difficult to sort through it all...
Just don't make it too complicated and too long for us old folks! I'm perfectly happy with the way things are now. So I have to scroll through some threads that maybe belong in some other subclassification, not such a big deal.
I note that the language forums are now out of sight down on the bottom, which I understand, but does not make me happy. Everything is a trade off.

I would agree that too many sub-forums (fori?) become a problem. Usually I just have time to go to a couple. I find this on other boards that have sub-divided too much---I end up missing alot because I can't go into every sub-forum. I'd leave EE as it is! As Marian says there's not so much that you can't scroll through and see what's of interest.
I agree, I don't like too many forums and we have too many now. But it is handy being able to find travel info. Let me think on it some - and if it doesn't work out, we can merge them.

I really like this idea, although I would continue to peruse both of these fori (!). I think it will be easier for new members/users to find the info that they need without continually repeating questions asked in the past.
Now that I know to use the "house" symbol to jump between forums, I find it much easier to check out all the new threads. EE is the first forum I check everyday.
