Hi there,
I thought I had asked this question last year but I sure couldn't find it anywhere so I will ask again...

I am having prolems with the right side of my pages when printing from the web. I can miss anywhere from one word to five. Can anyone remind me how to change the boarders?
Thank you for any and all assistance.
Wendy

If a web site has a fluid design (not a fixed width - like the message board), it will print correctly. If it is fixed (like SlowTrav - but I plan to change this), the edges might get cut off when printing.

You can make your browser print wider two ways:
- Print in Landscape. This is done in your printing preferences when you do FILE > PRINT.
- Change the print borders (this only helps a small amount). In Internet Explorer, FILE > PAGE SETUP and you can change the page margins.

You can design your website to print well using a style sheet just for printing. I am going to switch SlowTrav over to this - it is part of the major overhaul I have been working on for the last year.

Not so amazing - but thanks! Better would have been if I had figured all this out a couple of years ago and built it into SlowTrav, instead of now having to go back and put it in.

I actually couldn't figure out how to get where you told me to and I had to go to Circuit City to buy ink so I had my salesman show me. He had me take my page size down, we'll see if that works. does that sound plausible to you? He had me resize to 1024x768, I haven't tried printing anything yet, just walked in the door and expecting company for dinner in 15 minutes. Yikes!
What do you think?

I think he showed you how to reset your monitor - don't do that.

In your browser (Internet Explorer), go to the web page you want to print. Click the FILE button at the top left of the page. From the dropdown list, click on PAGE SETUP. A window opens and you will see 4 settings for margin (top, bottom, left, right). Set these to 0.15. This is probably smaller than allowed and the program will change the setting to the smallest allowed.

Then do a trial print. If the page is still cutoff, just print all the pages in LANDSCAPE. This can be set in PAGE SETUP, but it is better to set it when printing. FILE > PRINT > PRINTER PROPERTIES. You will find a place where you set either PORTRAIT or LANDSCAPE.
