I wanted to suggest another possible change to the message board... just for consideration. (Or maybe what I have is really a question....)
At the top of the message board is a link to the "Top 20 Topics." This list includes what I think are 20 recently-added to threads that have the most postings to them. When you go to that webpage, there are some statistics underneath the Top 20, and then there is a list of the "Recent 20 Posts," which lists the last 20 postings, regardless of topic.
I have started looking at the "Recent 20" a lot, especially since there are so many more boards to check now. This is an easy way to see what has been added in the last little bit. Then I just click on the ones that interest me.
I don't find the "Top 20 Posts" all that useful, since many of these posts are often "old" but have been triggered since someone has just added another comment.
I wonder if it would make sense to "flip" the "Top 20" and the "Recent 20" and put the "Recent 20" at the top of the list. But (here's my question)-- is there some other easy way to see what's been posted on the whole message board since the last time you checked??
On any page, if you click FIND there is an option "New Since Your Last Visit". This might be what you want. I don't use that - but just move through to forums and use the light bulbs to tell me which threads have new content.
