I was in the chat room and had used the scrolling arrows on the side of the window. Then I must have done something stupid (surprise! surprise! ) and now they are gone. I was on my laptop and I am forever hitting something on that which I shouldn't have, but the weird thing is that even on my PC they are gone.
I printed off the instructions for the chat room, so I looked up how to increase the size of the screen, but I don't seem to have an "expand" box between "minimize" and "close".
Some days I feel like I am in lala land. And I'm not even hung over today. Didn't go out partying for New Year's Eve for a change.
Leslie, I tried a test by going in and typing some things and I never did get the scroll bar to appear.
On my laptop, I hit something that took me out of the chat room but not out of the Slow Travel site. When I went back in, I got some chimes and then I noticed my scroll bars were missing.

When anything odd happens to your browser, like the scroll bars disappearing, shut down the browser and then start it up again. Make sure you have all open browser windows closed. If that doesn't work, then reboot. This is the equivalent of "take two asperin and call me in the morning".
Leslie, I'm sorry I missed the opportunity to chat with you and maybe have you fix my problem, but Monday night was take-Rex-to-the-Kitty-ER night and it was a late one at that. Then yesterday was a lost day because of my sister's computer problems and today was another out-of-the-house day.
Pauline, I closed everything, I've rebooted, I just went back into the chat room to see if it was OK and I still don't have any scroll bars.
So, has anybody had an opportunity to find out why I don't have scroll bars any more? I went in to the regular and the Gold Star chat rooms and -- zilch. Still no scroll bars.
I just want to confirm that you are typing in enough lines to have something scroll off the top of the chat. When I go into the Everyday Chat, I have to type in about 15 lines before the scroll bar appears.
But the number of lines depends upon what size is the fonts and the size of the window. You might try changing the font size (at the top 14px) to a large size (20px) and make the size of the window smaller by dragging the lower corner in. If you type about 20 lines and make the window smaller - do you see the scroll bar?
