Our typical method of posting a photo in a message is to use an attachment. This allows you to copy the photo from your PC to the message board.
There are also many web based photo album sites such as Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket, Smugmug. Many of these will allow people to share their photos by linking to the photo sharing site. Each of the sites have their own rules for linking and we request that you review those rules before linking. Also please do not link to photos that are not your photos.
Picasa is a photo album service from Google and it has a web album version. TimW recently wanted to link to a photo that he had on his Picasa web album. I finally figured out how to do it:
1) Open the Photo on Picasaweb
2) In the right bar, click on "Link to this Photo"
3) Check "Image only - no link"
4) Select size dropdown - select appropriate size. keeping in within 640 pixels wide maximum.
5) Select and copy the "Embed image" url - not the url for "Link".
6) In a SlowTalk message post, click the Image url icon (second from right on menu bar that looks like a landscape picture). Paste the copied "embed image" url from Picasaweb. Click OK. I usually recommend the alignment of none.
That is it.
