I'm poised and waiting, wondering when to purchase Euros for the summer trip we are planning. I've been watching, but don't know if there is a likely up or down trend coming, so wonder when to buy. Got advice? Confused

Get you euros from an ATM when you get there; any euro currency you buy outside Europe will likely have a markup of 5-8%.

If you buy at 1.55 + 7%, that's costing you about 1.65. Even if the value of the Euro goes back up to 1.63 as of the time you are in Europe, you'd still come out ahead by waiting and using the ATM.

Buy NOW!! Shop around for the best rate you can get - check your bank, other places and get as many as you can afford. What you don't spend save because the rate of return on a euro is above anything else you can get. When the head of EXXON is predicting $5/gallon gas by year's end the only way the dollar is going to go is down, down, down.
