There is a database for everything these day it seems I just came across the World Waterfall database and they just came up with the list og the 100 most beautiful waterfalls in the world. The winner is Langfoss in Norway Norway has 3 waterfalls on the top ten list by the way. Well, check out the list on http://www.world-waterfalls.com/worldsbest.php?orderby=ratSce%20DESC
Interesting site, Gard. I see Norway had several pics in the top 10. And I can see why they picked Langfoss as #1 - truly beautiful.
After reading several of your posts and your blogs, I can see that Norway is now on my future hit list of places to visit, and it is good to know that you are a ST friend and valuable resource.
Yes, Norway has lots to offer when it comes to nature and scenery. The west part of Norway with fjords, mountains, waterfalls, glaciers etc is beautiful. I'm very lucky to live so near this...this weekend I took a boat ride into one of the fjords and I drove home on my Harley and it is an amazing scenery. I have seen it many times but I never get tired of it :-) Feel free to get in touch if you want some more info on Norway :-) Below is a picture from the drive this weekend. I think I'm the driver you see there (with a partical orange jacket)
Gard, ten years ago when I gave up motorcycling, I sold my beloved Honda ST1100 to a broker who shipped it to a buyer in Norway. I'm happy to think the bike is playing on roads as beautiful as this one!
Certainly a beautiful waterfall. But beauty is"in the eye of the beholder".Just judging by the photo I have seen many waterfalls more pretty.I would put yosemite falls, and at least two other falls I can think of off the top of my head,as prettier than the chosen #1.
One is the Falls at Aberdare park in Kenya, and the other is the falls on the Rae lakes loop in Kings Canyon.Did the Norwegian tourist board pick the winners?. RR
