Hi

Last night they showed a pretty interesting show on TV. They followed a few tourists that were visiting Norway to give us an impression of how tourists think about Norway, Norwegians etc. They followed an american couple that were on the Hurtigruta (Norwegian costal liner), a German family in a RV driving around the fjords of Norway and a Japanese father/daughter that were driving around. I guess their main conclusion were that Norwegians are not very polite but they are friendly. And it also seemed like all of them wanted to get in touch with Norwegians to get more information about how we live, habits etc. I have the same "desire" when I travel...it is very nice to get in touch with the locals as you can get information about local food, where to eat, what they do for fun etc. I have tried to do a bit of my share when it comes to welcoming tourists here to Stavanger...I have taken a few up to Pulpit rock and Kjerag over the years and I hope that it has been as much fun for them as it has been for them. I'm sure the family from Singapore still talk about wwhen I took them up to the Pulpit rock. Normally this is a trip that takes maybe 3 hours maximum. But they were not really in good shape and they had bad shoes so I think we spent 7-8 hours on the trip. Well, I got them to the top at least Razz

Regards
Gard
