Just thought I'd check in to say that while frought with delays, my BA flight to France via London on 23 Aug went well (from SFO). Had to stand in line for 2 hours to drop off my bags initially, and another half hour while they tried to get my boarding pass for the second flight to Paris worked out, (missed the originally scheduled one) so listened to Joan Baez and Bob Dylan on my iPod while bending over periodically to save my lower back pain. How's THAT for exercising the practice patience?
Once on plane, I have to say that while World Traveler Plus seats were surely better than coach, I wouldn't call them "recliners"; and, the service was a bit chilly. And as for the good "real" food I was promised, no such luck.
MOST importantly, my baggage arrived with me!! ...which I'd been rather worried about.
More initial check-in on my journey thus far on the France page.
Au revoir,
Karen

Glad to hear that you arrived safe and sound in Paris. In a couple of months, I’m on a BA flight going through Heathrow and then on to Prague. I have been wondering how things are going these days. I’m so thankful that you took the time to post about your experience.
I just checked out your post in the France Forum. Sounds like you're off to a great start. Have a great trip!
