Not me but I have friends who did. Check with your airline about regulations for oxygen concentrators or people who need oxygen. The regulations are all over the map. Some allow it, some don't and require you to use their oxygen cannisters at some horrific cost, etc.. Other issue is of course power and your type of battery. If you need an oxygen concentrator they are available for rent in Rome. The owner of a vrbo property we stayed at http://www.vrbo.com/24579 is a medical supply salesman. He got me a wheelchair when mine was involved in a crash for $10 a week. Contact the owner and see if he can help you. And say Hi from the Hansons.

Paula - contact Sergio(?) and make sure that concentrators are available and what the cost would be. You might find they are very expensive and fairly difficult to get. Do NOT assume. With nationalized health care CPAP etc is only given to the patients who need it and not for mild to moderate sleep apnea. Price may or may not reflect the national health care plan price. It did for the wheelchair because tourists get hurt just like italians. It may not for oxygen because it is a long term pre-existing condition and the attitude just may be "you knew you needed this before you came here, why are you trying to use our limited resources?"
