This may be silly but who knows,for example when I arrive at heathrow it will be 6am or so,therefore it will be the previous day in the USA.Does the Max withdrawl apply to LA time or at your current location? RR

You have to check with your bank to find out where the computer is that runs the ATM function. My bank has the computer in Omaha and the 24 hours is based on a calender day there.

Robert, you can contact your bank (usually by phone) answer a few skill testing questions to ensure that you are who you say you are and increase your limit for a 30-60 day period. Let them know you are traveling and that is why you need it.

I am not worried about the limit which is 1000 dollars.I thought I would need to get Francs and then euro within the 24 hr period,but I think it will be seperate days now.RR

Yikes! Are you saying that France is not on the Euro? My Paris apartment rental required deposit in Euro. What's with the Francs?

Swiss Francs.I am going to Switzerland and then walking into Italy without any ATM being available until our 2nd day which is in a town,Our first day in Italy we stay Here.Then we are in courmayeur for two days then we go into France and back to Switzerland. RR
