Fuel surcharges are becoming an issue. Airlines have tried to say that there's a fuel surcharge on top of the quoted fare, but in the U.S. it's been ruled that it needs to be incorporated into the fare. Some airlines have started to add a fee to frequent flyer award tickets, which they say is because of the price of fuel.
