I usually bring my bike lock, which has a cable and snap in lock. Works fine and gives an advantage on the train. Just remember not to bury the keys in the bottom of your handbag and give yourself time to unlock and get off the train, especially when your stop is not the final destination.

Nancy, We used a bike lock with cable that had a three number combination. It worked fine as the racks had spaces allowing you to pass the cable through. We put the luggage on the bottom of the rack where possible, to keep it out of the way of others. (When it's crowded, people tend to move luggage around to make everything fit and we didn't want to be an impediment.) Joana
