I've almost finished packing for tomorrow's Ryanair flight to Italy. Angel

However, as I was packing the backpack I'll bring on the plane I got nervous. Are pens allowed? Do they count as fluid, weapons..? I'll check them if I must, but it would be so handy to have them in the backpack to keep my son busy.
What's your experience?

While I've not flown Ryanair, I have never had difficulty bringing pens on to a flight in my carry on baggage.

If you are really concerned just buy a cheap one in the shop after security.

Don't give the TSA any more ideas. Roll Eyes

I always travel with a ball point or felt tip in my pocket or carry on.

Ok I feel relieved now Smile I realized after a while that it really wasn't a big deal - I'll pack it, and if they object I'll just throw it away and get a new one later. Doh

Annika, I wish you and your son a great trip.

We are pen people, I usually have several good pens and Rob always has a fountain pen or two and a couple other types, with him.

Don't worry, you might even want to pack - if you are still home and have time - markers for your son to work with.

Enjoy ...

If you don't have a biro, how on earth are you supposed to fill out the immigration forms given on the plane prior to arrival?

I've never had a problem with biros/pens.

Hi

I always bring a couple of pens in my bag. It is always useful when you have to fill in various visa forms :-)
