I was contacted last month by a writer for Packed Magazine, a free travel magazine distrubuted in Europe. The writer, Paul, interviewed me for a regular feature they have. He had the most interesting interview questions I have ever been asked and it was really fun answering them!

Unfortunately, they are not running the interview because of some confusion between Slow Travel (this site) and Moving Slowly, a travel site for two guys from Italy who are traveling around the world in a car, getting donations to fund their travel and to distribute money to good causes along the way. Turns out it was Moving Slowly they wanted to interview. Frown

I asked Paul, the writer, if I can publish the interview on my blog and will post here if I do that.

www.packedmagazine.com: Packed, a free magazine distributed in Europe with interesting travel articles. You can download back issues. Magazine is aimed at backpackers, independent and budget travelers.

Paul also runs the A Berlin Diary blog. He found us because of Shannon - she had been corresponding with him before her Berlin trip.

That's pretty funny; I bet you were wondering why they were asking you all these questions about driving around the world Big Grin No wonder you thought it was interesting!

I hope they let you post the interview, I'm really curious now!

I met Paul last month and I know the confusion was not on his end; I had written to him about slowtrav some time ago.

I have a feature on Venice in their next issue! So as soon as it goes on-line I will post a link. I am sort of bummed because I thought Pauline would also be in the same issue!

Honestly, it was kind of a let down for me. Frown
Way to short and not much to learn from.

Maybe you should be on Charlie Rose on PBS for a hour. I am sure you could fill an hour with your entertaining travel stories. Coffee

Very nice! The Queen The interviewer had questions to really draw you out, and where your wit was able to shine through! Good job. Was it conducted on the phone or via email?

The new issue is up with my article in it! They call me a "food and wine expert." HAHAHAHAHA. It looks great though, I am really happy with it. Shannon

He did it by email. Steve and I worked on it together (the wit is his!!). It was such a treat to be asked different questions!

Here is the link to download this month's issue with Shannon's article! Congrats Shannon!!

Pauline, I’m glad you posted the interview. Interesting history about how you started the website.

Great article Shannon! Excellent information and recommendations. I especially enjoyed reading about some of things to see and do that would make one’s experience in Venice much more special and unique. Congratulations! I hope you’ll do more articles.
