Here are the guidelines: You select one of your own photos to post that in some way utilizes the topic. Use the topic as a concrete prompt, or find a novel approach. Each person, just one post/photo per thread topic, (or two if you must)please. Photos should be resized to be no wider than 600 pixels. Too-large photos slow down the loading of the thread, and will be deleted. Read about how to post a photo in a thread, here. If you have an idea for a photo hunt topic, contact one of the Mods to offer the suggestion instead of beginning another thread.
Posting photos in the thread gives your permission for SlowTrav to eventually move the photos over to Photohunt albums in the Slow Photos Galleries. This week's prompt is "chocolate." Thanks to BGE for the prompt idea.
You're encouraged to describe your photo--where you shot it, details of what you were doing or what was going on, etc.
I am a chocolate lover and always indulge in some during my travels making it hard to choose just 1 picture of chocolate. I like this picture taken in Eurice, Sicily because the assorted dolce look so pretty on the ceramic table top. Our group had just watched the making of marzipan (that this city is known for) and were just about to indulge in these delicious treats that including some delicious chocolate.
Many don't associate Mexico with chocolate, but of course, cocoa was the drink of the Aztecs, and chocolate originated in South America.
This is the Soledad chocolate factory/shop in Oaxaca, Mexico, known not only for chocolates but for fabulous molés. In fact, just last week I finished the last of the molé paste we'd bought there...now I really need to get back! This shot was taken very early in the morning before it was open...we went back later in the day for shopping.
My guess? This will be the biggest Photohunt yet! Clever choice. I, however (without the requisite sweet tooth -- so shoot me!), have nothing to offer.
Still tho, I do like beautiful food; must search. In the meantime, I'll enjoy your shots.
The decadent hot chocolate at Angelina's in Paris ~they bring you a little pot of pure hot chocolate and a pot of cream. Mix and swoon!! You can also see the famous Mont Blanc dessert in the upper corner.

You must have some photos in your albums of stunning images! Did you guess that I suggested chocolate for the topic?
Where to start? So many photos of desserts, so little space to post them... OK, try this one, taken in Florence on my very first day there. My son dragged me to Rivoire, I had my first cappuccino and spremuti there, and then he had to drag me away! This display was in the front window of the restaurant. Oh. My. Goodness!
“My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already.” ~ Dave Barry Brenda
These are stunning photos and I'm salivating every time I wander through this thread.
Anne, Chocolate violins! Amazing.
Marta, I want one...dozen...or two, maybe.
Every single photo creates a happy mood. I don't think there can be a photo of chocolate in the world that doesn't bring happiness to the viewer. These are lovely, happy photos, every one of them!

Afternoon tea in a pastry shop on Istiklal Street in Istanbul. We couldn't finish any of these, they were yummy but so rich. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs!!
This was one of the stranger desserts I've ever had -- just last week at Bistro Don Giovanni in Napa. It's gelato topped with a cup of chocolate, into which the waiter pours hot olive oil, melting the chocolate over the ice cream. The gelato was good, but the hot olive oil was just too weird for my tastes.
Roz - I love ice cream, I love chocolate, and I love olive oil, but the thought of the three of them together makes my stomach cringe! Great picture, though.

This is from the world-fabulous Teaberry Cuccina, where diners far and wide enjoy chocolate in its many morphs. This is chocolate lava cake, and it's completely dairy-free!

Your stomach has the right instincts, Judy. When I saw it on the menu, I thought it was so unique that I wanted to try it, especially since the rest of the meal had been so good. But the olive oil just doesn't work in that company! I wonder if there is any Italian precedent for that combination? The restaurant is owned by a guy from Naples, and feels very authentically Italian. There was nothing else that far out on the menu.
This was taken in Bologna on a cold Feb night. Just the smell as you walked in the chocolate shop was enough to overload the senses! Theresa

During our 2005 Paris trip, we took our friends Sandy and Martin to the Ritz for lunch for their anniversary. This is a shot of the decadent chocolate souffle I enjoyed.
