Is there an "Upgrade Chart" on the British Airways site to tell me how many miles it takes to upgrade from World Traveller Plus to Club World? I haven't been able to find one.

The flight would be WT+ from Toronto to London and then Euro Traveller from London to Rome.

If I purchase this flight, then I would like to use BA miles to upgrade. How do you go about this at BA online? And when can it be done (how many months in advance of flight)?

J.

25,000 miles to upgrade round trip from World Traveller Plus to Club World. We have done this many times.

They have info on the site but it is not easy to find. The best thing is to login to the executive club, do a booking using miles to upgrade and it tells you during the booking process (you can cancel out before you purchase). This way also shows you all flights with upgrades available for your month of travel.

Deep down in the Executive Club pages they have a sort of chart, but it is hard to figure out and talks in terms of 150% to upgrade - took me forever to figure it out.

I frequently check for upgrades from Toronto, thinking we will fly up to Toronto to see my family, then fly to England - and rarely see upgrades available. Let me know how you make out with this.

I also look for upgrades from Denver, Phoenix and Dallas - airports we can easily get to. The most upgrades available are from Dallas.

Thanks Pauline. I thought about you when I posted this. We wouldn't have enough miles to do an upgrade, but I also saw that you can use cash and miles. So, it won't be for this fall, but maybe for next year when we go to England.

The Air Canada aeroplan site has an easy chart to follow re: miles needed to go from one place to another, without even logging in (they don't let you use miles to upgrade a purchased ticket). Just wondered where BA was hiding their chart.

From our experience with BA, and the mileage chart that is somewhere on their site when you look at booking with miles, from LA to Rome via London it is 60,000 miles on economy.

In World Traveller Plus, 90,000 miles.

The flight from London to Rome is not in "plus" or upgraded seats though, but it's short so we don't care.

We did this last year and have already booked the same scenario for next March, 2009.
