I'm a serious tea chick. I'm toast without my tea.

When I travel I am usually at the mercy of a hotel's coffee maker that ends up giving me crappy coffee tasting tea. I'm traveling up to San Francisco for a week and I see my little hotel does not offer a way to make tea so I've decided to treat myself to a travel size hot water maker. I'll take it with me to Guatemala next month as well.

Has anyone traveled with one of these? I'm thinking of buying either the Design Go travel water heater out of the UK or the cheaper Bodum Mini Ibis electric kettle.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Hi,
I haven't used either but think after seeing these I will purchase the Design to Go. I like the fact it comes with the European adapter and the U.S. adapter. Thanks for asking this as it gets me going to purchase one.

Beth, great reviews for the Design Go kettle on Amazon. One of them is even from a flight attendant!

Funny that the company is offering a special for free shipping on orders over $45 under the add for the kettle and the kettle is $44.84. I'm going to call and see if they'll just charge me the 16 bloody cents. I mean really... Roll Eyes

I ended up buying the cheaper Bodum Ibis mini kettle and with my Bed Bath and Beyond coupon it was about $16. It heats up water incredibly fast, is very small and light, and will easily fit in my suitcase.

Problem solved! I recommend it to anyone who wants the option of hot water on their journey.
