Has anyone used this option and is it that much better than regular economy in terms of space?
We plan on flying to Bangkok next year on Thai Airways and the non-stop flying time is 17 hours. It's a long time and the difference in cost between business and this new category is great!

Thanks, again.

If you look here

http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Thai_Airways/Thai_Airways_Airbus_A340-500.php

you can see the difference in seating for the various classes on Thai.

Basically its 19" wide instead of 17.4" and a pitch of 40" instead of 36"; a 2-3-2 layout instead of 2-4-2.

Seats in rows 32-35 look best.

Interesting that on the Singapore Airlines new Airbus 380 the economy seat width is also 19 inches but only 32 in pitch. Decent wide seat though.
