It's time for another Worldwide Photohunt!

Here are the guidelines: You select one of your own photos to post that in some way utilizes the topic. Use the topic as a concrete prompt, or find a novel approach. Each person, just one post/photo per thread topic, (or two if you must)please. Photos should be resized to be no wider than 600 pixels. Too-large photos slow down the loading of the thread, and will be deleted. Read about how to post a photo in a thread, here. If you have an idea for a photo hunt topic, contact one of the Mods to offer the suggestion instead of beginning another thread.

Posting photos in the thread gives your permission for SlowTrav to eventually move the photos over to Photohunt albums in the SlowPhotos Galleries and/or publish in our monthly newsletter.

With so many of us under a blanket of white or experiencing gray, rainy days, our current theme will be, "Green."

You're encouraged to describe your photo--where you shot it, details of what you were doing or what was going on, etc.

This is a photo of a rice field taken in February 2008 at Ban Huo Chan in Khon Kaen Province (Isaan) Thailand. The young rice plants are an intense bright green.
There are orchid plants hanging in the foreground, but unfortuneately they were not in bloom.

These are great. I don't know about anyone else but these are wonderful for my eyes accustomed to only the glaring white of snow at the moment. Making me look forward to spring.

This photo was taken in the Nestore Valley in Umbria, near our village of Piegaro in May. No wonder Umbria is known as the "green heart of Italy"!

Kim, I was going to say that I didn't think that photo you posted of your bike path in NJ was taken recently!

This is actually the green (i.e., rainy) season in California. In the summer this grass (in a Napa park) will probably be brown.

Note that you can't look very far in any direction here without seeing a vineyard!

We are now in Corozal where my husband is the priest at St Paul's by the Sea. I would send more green photos but that would be pushing it lol. Blushing
