Teachick, the wedding took place in Austin, where they both went to school and will live. They actually both went to Lufkin High School but he is a couple of years older and they didn't know each other until she was in graduate school at the University of Texas.
So I guess I did travel some...to Austin, which is about a 4 hour drive from here. We aslo spent some time in the Texas hill country in Fredericksburg after the wedding. The Nimitz Museum of the War in the Pacific is very interesting. Admiral Nimitz was from Fredericksburg. Quite a number of wineries in the area also.
Congratulations!! I understand completely--just got off the phone with my son who is planning a wedding. I have to show this picture to my future daughter-in-law--what a beautiful dress--on such a beautiful bride. Dad looks pretty good too.

Congratulations! A truly beautiful bride and obviously proud Dad. I understand perfectly. My daughter is getting married in November and, although I am watching my travel fund dwindle, I wouldn't change a thing.
