I don't want to steal you all away from Pauline but we also need a name for the Big GTG.

I am so impressed with the number of responses to Paulines request. Why on earth am I stressing my brain with so many very clever people out there.

As many suggestions as you want.

We need a name by 6pm PST - then you can all go back and play with Pauline! Big Grin

"The Really Big GTG" Smile

When I said I was calling the forum "Slow Travelers Chatter" to Colleen, she said "why not have a contest to name it?" - which was nicer than saying "Lame!!".

Big get togethers in Scotland were called Gatherings. So ... The Great Gathering.

Or if you like alliteration: The Ramblers' Rally (or Roamers' Rally)

Similar to a forum name suggestion: Slow Trav LIVE

Yes, I'm obsessed with the Bacchus theme. You look at the descriptions of the previous GTGs and tell me I'm wrong! Happy

Oh a deadline!!!

How about 1st annual "Slowbash"

I'm SO much better at songs, so I will entertain while you THINK!

There's a state for us...
Somewhere a date for us
Save your miles and they'll take you there
You can come, don't be square...
Somewhere, someday, SLOWBASH

What's wrong with Really Big GTG or Great Big GTG?
That's what we've been calling it all along, so why not use the familiar? That way, everyone knows what we're talkin' about! RBGTG or GBGTG...good enough for me.

Give it some fancy shmancy name and no one will know what that is...then NO ONE will come to it, 'cause they won't know what they're coming to!Big Grin
