Those arriving early in Savannah will be able to take advantage of some of the wonderful Music Festival events.

There are also some daytime performances on Friday and Saturday. For example if you are planning to visit the City Market time it to listen to the free 'Swing Central in City Market' at 11am on Friday and Saturday.

Thanks for the reminder and the link, Sheena. I had been checking now and then to see if the schedule had been posted but hadn't looked recently. One of the reasons we wanted to arrive in Savannah early was so we could attend one or more of the festival performances. Now we'll have to decide which, if any, we want to go to, as I suspect the ticketed performances will be sold out quickly.

Thank you! I knew this was on and I hadn't found the website for it.
I hope to take in a couple of performances. Maybe these will be the ones...Yu Kosuge on Friday evening and Cherryholmes on Saturday.
I'd also love to see Ana Moura on Monday and maybe Tiempo Libre, as well. Looks like I'd better plan on being in Savannah for longer than a week!

Will tickets sell out fast? I'd bet they will,so I'd better buy mine now. Anyone else interested?

And for you rockers--Derek Trucks Band is Wed. night. My son gave me his CD about a year ago and I really love it.

Any takers for going on Wed. and taking in the rock and roll?
