Eek Eek Eek!!!! Weigh too much fried Chicken Dance Chicken Pig Rudolf, (well okay maybe not Rudolf), and not enough Joanna's Dancing Man. I guess this means I can't move to Savannah. Big Grin

A weigh-in would NOT be a good idea.

I am still scratching from the knat bites -- on my head, neck, arms, legs.

And, thanks to all that fried food, I have a pimple. I don't think that I could live in the South and survive.

My head doesn't feel too clear this morning.

I think an afternoon nap is in order.

As much as I complained about the humidity, I think I did sweat off the MANY calories consumed with all my walking in the beautiful city of Savannah. I make it a habit not to weigh myself after vacations though. It did feel good to get to a spinning class today! These fabulous pralines may have some bearing on any weight gain this weekend and then I brought a pound home for my husband (yeah right, I'm sure he'll eat them all!).

I normally loose 2-5 lbs from all the walking, and we walked almost everywhere in Savannah, because we didn't have a car. But man, I just couldn't walk enough to get rid of the fried chicken, fried fish, pralines, cherry pies, pecan pies, mac & chesse and those little powdered doughnuts that the realtor said were the best in the South (she was right!)

I don't need to step on the scales...all I had to do was put on my favorite jeans! Eek Pig Pig Happy

Colleen,
I came home with 3 lbs of those sinful things, one box for each of our children.

No weighing around here, no regrets for eating fried green tomatoes for three straight days, and we will not discuss the copious amounts of wine either. I only regret not having that mojito at the mojito bar in the Miama airport, and I don't even like rum!

Greens and fruit, greens and fruit, that is the future.

Heck- don't y'all know.
Southern calories just don't stick! As Paula Deen said "I'm yo cook, not yo doctor!"

Those pralines look great- did you have anything better than those free samples of warm pralines? Pig

Colleen--spinning? I'm impressed. I watch the women at the spa as I do the treadmill.

According to the weight machine today, I put on 1.5 lbs. but--I had my heavy shoes on so maybe it's not to bad.

Isn't it awsome! I've been making those for years. I'm curious as to how your recipe may differ from mine. Could you post it?

Well if there is a contest for who gained the most weight I would definitely win that one. 9 pounds over 2 weeks of wonderful southern cooking.

I've been on a diet for 2 days and already I'm growing big ears from eating salads.

Thanks Palma!
I'll have to try it. It's not the same recipe I have. The one I have has a gooey center and berries. It is too die for and very fattening.
When I dig out the recipe I'll send that one for you to try.

Ginger,

You are not to go near a scale for four weeks after a vacation, cardinal rule, really! Big Grin

We are back.

I gained 6 pounds - the 6 I had lost for the trip - between Savannah, Florida and the cruise. I am sure it was more like 10, but a few seem to have dissappeared, thankfully.
