I've listed the actual winner of each prize, but there was some passing on and trading of prizes going on. I think each prize has found its perfect home!
Thanks again to our advertisers and members who donated such wonderful prizes! And thanks to Brad, who MCed our drawing, and the "Sergent Adams," the enthusiastic re-enactor who drew the actual names.
If anyone has photos of the drawing, it would be fun to post a few here or include links to photos. (Also, if anyone sees any mistakes in this posting, please PM or e-mail me!)

I think there is one big mistake...my name was mispronounced when they announced the Grand Prize winner. Very understandable, given how hard my last name is to say. I'm not sure how they came up with "Rome Addict" out of "Oestriecher", but stranger things have happened! I'll just talk to Mary and Tom and explain it...I'm sure they'll understand
It was great fun, even though I wasn't one of the winners!

Rob won the day with Massimo and Biancamaria in their home in Rome. We were lucky to meet them this past Oct. at a GTG lunch. We look forward to seeing them again. They are lovely people.
AND ...
I won a Roman coin from the 2nd century!!!! WOW!!! Tony da Roma was very generous and I can't wait. Palma has offered to get it in May when they are there and bring it home with her. Since Rob and I won't be home till the end of April and May is just around the corner this makes so much sense.
Thank you to all the contributors, the organizing team and Palma and Brad.
We love Slowtrav and all the people.
Thank you,
Wendy and Rob

Jerry and Paul, Gary and I can't thank you enough for the Canadian goodies, *all* of which made it home with nary a break or mishap (the bottles wore my hiking socks and lots of plastic bags, and I don't think TSA touched them). Of course the maple candy is already gone. It's such a treat to have photos of the ice wine grape harvest--we're saving it for a special occasion.
My nutty husband is bound and determined to translate some of the recipes from maple to our local cane syrup, once our maple bounty is gone. We'll let you know how it goes-if well we will need your address for a little sweet cultural exchange.
Thank you for the wonderful gift certificate to Murray Cheeses. My daughter will be spending the summer in New York so we might have to share this with her. Such a thoughtful gift from Sally Watkins. Many thanks. Barb Cabot

My husband Bill won the 1 hour tour with Tony da Roma. I was thrilled... Mostly because unless he starts rowing to Italy... I will be the one to get to use the gift! Bless his heart.
Is there an expiration date on this? grazie Tony and 3 Millenia!
"Mostly unless he starts rowing to Italy". OMG, Sandi, the tears are rolling, thanks so much for that one.
David and I NEVER win anything, or so we say, and here we each walked off with a prize, his the gift certificate for ok, now I forget, but it's maps and stuff online, and I have the two beautiful pashminas donated by Gail Hecko.
Thanks to Paolo Ferrero for my wonderful cookbook. I can't wait to try some of the recipes. I'm another one of those who usually never wins anything, so this was very exciting.
Also would like to thank Bugalu for the bag of goodies from The Whistlestop Cafe that Tom won. You didn't mention that you had written the cookbook that was in the bag!!! Thank you so much. Somewhere in the webcam shots from that evening is one of Tom wearing his apron.
Thanks to everyone who contributed all these wonderful gifts! My copy of "Dolce Italiano" (courtesy of Stella) is currently sitting on my dining-room table as I try to figure out how I can try some of these delicious sounding recipes and still return to my diet (which has been seriously ignored during the past two weeks!). Doyle and I have both worn the shirts that were included in the Bargetto Winery gift bag by Marcia. They came in very handy in the unexpectedly cool weather along the NC coast for much of the past week. We'll try the wine very soon.
I won the handmade decoupage candlesticks and beautiful box, made by Teaberry. Not only is Teaberry one of the Gathering Heros, but also she is skilled craftsperson! They are pale yellow -- as is my bedroom.

Winner: bcwired I just wanted to comment that I gave this gift card to the daughter spending the summer in NYC. Sally you have made a young girl very happy! She emails me saying I think I'll stop by Murray's after work to get some goodies. Your gift is helping to keep this 19 yr. old very well fed and happy. It was such a nice prize. She raves about how wonderful that specialty store is. Thank you again. Barb Cabot
