If you have recently visited the Slow Travel Gathering Page and tried to click the link to the Gingerbread House on the Gathering Weekend Events page, you may have noticed that the link to the Gingerbread House no longer works.

That is because our party is probably the very last venue that will be held at the Gingerbread House. The owners have decided to use the home only as a residence, so they have probably not renewed their webpage. I am including a link here that will give all of you the address, phone #, and map location of the Gingerbread House, and even a little message is included there from the owners, who have been just lovely to do business with, I may add.

I had tried that link before I asked my question about the Gingerbread House, then went back to Kaydee's post about it being closed in 2008, except for our event.

The Gingerbread House is at 1921 Bull St., phone is 912-234-7303 and it is .95 mi. and 5 minutes from The Mansion.

Thanks June. While the Gingerbread House is about a mile from the Mansion, the Mansion is still a distance from where many are staying in the Historic District. Just wanted to make that very clear to everyone.

Although it will be visible on the map on the link you posted, I think it would be helpful here to mention that the Gingerbread House is at the intersection of Bull St. and 35th. Just south of Forsyth Park, the streets start to have numbers rather than names. If you're driving, the lot is behind the house, so you'd turn into it past 34th St., if you're coming from the Historic District. (I've been studying Savannah maps. )
