The toughest piece I've ever written! Do you know how hard it was to distill this down to only 10 things? I had to leave out a hundred other fantastic things.Frown

1. Jamie and Bobby Deans’ new book, The Dean Bros. Cookbook, autographed by Paula’s gorgeous sons, hopefully!Blushing

2. Beautiful treasures for your home from The Paris Market & Brocante, located on Broughton Street.

3. Food photos from a smashing dinner with Elizabeth on 37th or an old-fashioned luncheon at Mrs. Wilkes' Dining Room

4. At least one of the gorgeous Grand Prizes from the Great Slowtrav Gathering!

5. A photo of you and your friends standing, sun-drenched, in front of the Waving Girl in the harbour along River Street.

6. A souvenir from Wet Willies’ Bar…maybe a lime green or brilliant orange Koozie!

7. The biggest box of Traditional and Chocolate Pralines on the shelf in Savannah Sweets!

8. A little something from the gorgeous greenhouse of Hester and Zipperer, to show off in your kitchen, in your front yard or sitting prettily on the front porch. H & Z is located on Johnny Mercer Boulevard.

9. Something precious to remind you of this wonderful weekend…a funky watch from Time After Time or a stash of new linens for your bedroom from Savannah Fine Linens. Time After Time is located at 305 W Bryan Street.

10. A fine replica of Sylvia Shaw Judson’s Bird Girl from the Telfair Museum gift store.

Brenda, great lists. Thanks for sharing.
There is so much to do in Savannah and we won't get to do it all in just a few days.
Best part will be meeting our Slow Travel friends at the 3 Gathering events...which we are really looking forward to.
I will go to the links now and preview what else we might get to do/see. Thanks.

J.

Thanks, June!
I had a huge list of cool things and had to pare it down, drastically. I'm really happy that I decided to arrive a few extra days early and just hang out in this beautiful area of Georgia. I'm going to walk my butt off exploring Savannah!

You are so right...the best part will be meeting everyone. I'm so looking forward to this!

Wow !! So much to see, so little time!! Great list Brenda, I am so excited to make my first visit to the south, my first to Savannah, and my first GTG. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone.

I like to bring back Paula Deen's goodies - Silly Salt, or her marinades (which you can buy in the airport to avoid the security problems).

Sandra, utterly beautiful photos!!

How late can we sign up to join ya'll? I still haven't decided what I'm doing, I have a house down there though so I have a place to stay - but I see you are planning cooking classes too, so I may be too late to sign up, bummer.

Woodstock, Thank you for your kind words.... Blushing..I'm still learning, but very excited, to see what I can capture in Savannah. It is such a beautiful city.

Brenda, I can hardly wait. I have to add, I truly love all of your quotes. I have a small book on my desk, and whenever I see one I really like, I write it down. It fun to go back once in a while and read my growing collection. Smile
