Most everyone in the South knows Southern Living magazine. If it's not on our coffee table, it's surely on our mom's! If you are planning on traveling to Savannah or just about anywhere else below the Mason-Dixon, Southern Living is a great resource for the traveler and shopper too.

Here is a link to the online edition which has a recent little blip on dining in Savannah. Unless the Firefly has changed drastically since last fall, I don't really recommend it. ChaBella is Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I thought I'd tag on to this thread to give a link to one of Frommer's web tips. Today's newsletter had a link to an article on Favorite Eating Towns. It mentions the usual suspects such as Florence, Rome and NYC and it also includes Savannah. I'm looking forward to some good food in Savannah. Pig

I've spent a week in Savannah every March for the past two years and plan to do it again next year. I highly recommend renting a house on Tybee Island! It's connected to the city with a causeway with gorgeous views of wetlands, and it's only a 15ish minute drive to Savannah. It'll probably be warm enough in April to swim, too, as I've swum in early March. The rental place I've dealt with is called Tybee Island Rentals (http://www.tybeeislandrentals.com/) and they're extremely sweet and helpful.

Oh and non-sequitor, but there's a really great natural foods store at the south end of Forsythe Park!
