Our dinner tonight was moved from Old Fort Jackson to the Savannah History Museum due to the weather. This turned out to be a great location and we had a wonderful evening. I'm sure others will post with more details and hopefully pictures too. (Note: the webcam was set up on the replica of the Forrest Gump bench.)

One of tonight's highlights was the drawing for 57 door prizes donated by Slow Travel members, advertisers and affiliates. It may be a couple of days before I can post all the prizes and winners, but I wanted to post the four Grand prize winners before going to bed tonight.

One week at Villa Gioconda, a four bedroom villa near Agripoli on the Gulf of Salerno (donated by Lucca Trotta, Summer in Italy).

Winner: Rome Addict

One week for two at Sant'Antonio Resort in Montepulciano (donated by Nico Pannevis)

Winner: anthemion

Three nights at Le Mas Perreal in St. Saturnin-les-Apt in Provence (donated by Kevin and Elisabeth Widrow)

Winner: Pauline

A $500 gift certificate (donated by Auto Europe)

Winner: suncoast

Thanks so much to our grand prize donors-- and congratulations to our winners! Stay tuned in the next few days for the list of our other prizes and winners.

Hi everyone,

Just had to post how much fun Bill and I are having planning our week at Sant Antonio Resort. I've exchanged e-mails with Nico (what a nice man!) and set up Fall 2009 for our trip. Now, I'm thinking about getting a GPS so that we don't get lost wandering around Tuscany. We've been in the northern part and Montchino but now we'll do points South, what fun! We're thinking of flying into Rome and doing an open-jaw out of ??.

So, thanks again for making our first GTG so much fun and making my first-ever prize-winning one I'll never be able to top!

I am absolutely over the moon about winning. But what made the winning extra special was how delighted everyone was at the GTG for me. Truly a generous and warm hearted group.

Massimo,
Karen & I won the Sutri-Home guest for a day prize and we thank you for your gracious gift. WE can not wait till we get back to Italy next year to meet you and thank you in person.
Our trip will start in Settembre 2009 with a two week stay in or around Roma then ending our trip with another one week stay in or around Roma in Novembre. We would appreciate any suggestions as we want stay in three areas for one week so we can explore bella Italia.

Mac & Karen
