As yo'll are packing and checking your travel documents and making arrangements and confirming plans, I want to wish you all, Savannah GTGrs, a great time together!

There are personal reasons for which I cannot make it, although I would have wanted so much to meet you all and enjoy some good times together with you, good friends.

I will follow daily your updates, I will read avidly your reports and I will search for your photos, and in this way I will also be there, if not for real, at least in "spirits ". Well, the "spirits" I'll have here and I'll think of you!

Congratulations to the organising committee: you have done an incredible, amazing job!

And to all of you, again, have a great time!

I'm already packed, as I'm leaving in a couple of days for a few extra days in Savannah as a gift for me.
AND, I'm so excited to be going to the big S!

You are so right, the organizing committee has done a stellar job! Each detail has been nudged into line, so the whole weekend will come off flawlessly. Amazing, they are amazing!

When I think about the beginnings of this gathering more than a year ago, it is simply stunning to see what has transpired in only a year.
Here's a quick recap...with kudos to our organizing committee's research and hard work:

One of Kathy's first posts that started the ball rolling on November 2, 2006.

On December 2, 2006, the votes were counted and the winner is....Savannah, Georgia!

On March 18th, 2007, Palma, our shopping diva, gave us 10 new ways to max out our plastic!

Leslie offered us a cooking class in Low Country Cooking and it was booked before you could say "Fried Green Tomatoes and Black Eyed Pea Salad!"

Sheena reminded us about the Savannah Music Festival on October 26, last fall!

This past February 10th, Terry gave us a fun and enchanting look at how to have Fun With Kids in Savannah!

Jan recently shared a favorite southern treat with us and entices us to savor Boiled Peanuts!

Thank y'all so much for your excellent leadership...you da bomb, baby!
