I am in Savannah tonight (on business, teaching a class here tomorrow). Only have the one night in town, and for once, don't have a ton of prep work to do for tomorrow. I thought I would go on one of the haunted tours. I found a brochure for a "Hauntings Tour" (www.hauntingstour.com) which said "reservations preferred but not required", and "We always tour, rain or shine, No one turned away".
I went to the meeting point, getting there around 6:55 for a 7:00 tour. No one was there, so I called the number on the brochure. Got a recording about "just show up; tours go every night". Finally, a few minutes after 7 the tour guide shows up and said "I'm not doing a tour for just one person!". I told her I would pass along the failure to live up to advertising to the large group that would be here in April

I sent an email to the "contact us" button on the website, but it bounced as undeliverable. I'll try to call tomorrow before I fly out, just on the off chance that someone will answer the phone and actually give a darn!
I can certainly understand having a minimum # for a tour, but they should include that info in their advertising.
Just wanted to let everyone know not to count on this company for a tour when you come here...they offer many different tours of Savannah. I won't be taking any of them in April
