I haven't commented on the planned GTG yet because I am still lost in "blog-land - getting blogs to work on our new server". Once that is done, I become human again.

Looking forward to the chat about this tomorrow.

-----------------------
Please join me for our scheduled chat this Sunday at 11 AM Pacific, Noon Mountain, 1 PM Central, 2 PM Eastern.

The topic will be: party planning in vacation rentals and exotic locations.

NEW CHAT TOPIC: Planning the 2008 GTG - how best to accommodate the most people

See you Sunday!

The other volunteers all seem to have special talents that I do not possess. But, hey, if Ginger can volunteer -- so can I! We can at least bring some humor when the going gets tough, right Ginger? Happy April Fool

And I played the Witch in Into the Woods, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, Kate in Kiss me Kate and the 2nd soprano in Master Class. Plus I was a chorus member in the equity productions of Evita, The Sound of Music, & Annie.

And I directed Romeo & Juliet, I Hate Hamlet, Terra Nova and the Variety Show for the Women's Club three years running. So there, even though I may not know polenta from payasam, I can organize with the best of them. Earline if you write me a song, God willling, I will sing it. Nothing lower than the key of G.

As I have mentioned on another related thread, I would be more than happy to arrange group hotel rates, group airfare, transportation etc. Travel planning is my life at the moment, both personally and professionally!! Happy Joanna's Dancing Man

This is going to be a great event!

Y'all are magnificent! Not Worthy
There's no lack of talent, generosity of heart or highly- skilled people on ST! We've got a full chorus of dulcet-toned singers, a travel consultant, a superb chef, a huge number of 'I'll do anything' angels...we're all set!
Now for the location...
The date...
I'm off to check the poll...I feel like a federal politician here, looking at the polls! Roll Eyes

If we're all in the same place I'd be happy to teach a yoga class or two. I could offer a group meditative/restorative hour as well that would help people unwind, relax, and chill after all of that partying. Wink

My talents are few, but I do know about planning conventions and negotiating venues. So, I'd be happy to help there.

I'd love to serve as Shannon's sous chef. Shannon

Just let me know how I'm needed.
