It's not too early to make a reservation for this restaurant...it can be done online.

We're thinking of going the evening of April 3rd, 2008.

Anyone else considering it?

J.

Sounds like a plan, June!
I'm there... Martini
I'll be in Savannah for a few days ahead of the GTG, so this will be a treat! We are finally going to have dinner together, can you believe it?

That's great Brenda!
I will reserve a table on the terrace for the 3 of us for 8 pm on Thursday, April 3, 2008. I will let you know when it is confirmed. J.

Anyone else wanting to reserve for themselves, I've posted the link below.

This sounds fun. Unfortunately I don't think we'll get into Savannah until late that evening.

I would be glad to add 2-3 more people to our table reservation. At this point there is BGE, Chiaro & her husband.

I have posted the link to Reservations for the Mansion Dining in my message, so others can book a table for a party they put together themselves.

We'd love to have you join us at 700 Drayton. If you go to their website you can book it online. Open Table comes up and you just fill it in for yourself.

Hope to see you there.

Are you signed up to come to the GTG?
I didn't see your name listed: http://slowtalk.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/6061029222/m/4911063703

We just make a reservation for a table. Thank you for the link. See you there. We thought we had also signed up for the GTG. Guess not, so will do it again.

We just booked for 2 also. Kathy and Bill. There are 8 dining rooms. Are we planning on being somewhat in the same location? We would love to join a group if possible.

Thanks
Kathy

I will ask when we arrive in Savannah on April 2nd about seating all of us in the same area of the restaurant. With OPEN TABLE taking the reservations it is best to go to the site (link in posts above) and reserve for yourself/small group.

Mac & Kathy,
Why don't you private message each other and one of you go back to Open Table confirmation and change it so you are at the same table?

Here is the reservation link to the Mansion:

http://www.mansiononforsythpark.com/dining/dining.asp

Please go ahead, put your small group together and reserve for yourselves.

I will ask when I arrive if we can sit in the same area. We are not booking for a large group or a special room.

What a great way to meet everyone!
I'm looking forward to this experience.

Here's my dessert of choice...
White Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding
with Vanilla Bean Ice CreamGelato

No idea what else I'll choose.
Perhaps the Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass
with saffron shellfish stew, heirloom tomato relish, crawfish herb risotto, grilled corn bread and lemon butter.
Now, I'm hungry.
Think I'll go make myself a pan roasted Chilean sea bass or something!

Mac and Karen, Bill and I are now a table of 4. I can add more (1 or 2) but would have to take 8:15. Is anybody interested? I have a feeling the place is filling up. better decide soon.

Kathy, John and I would love to join your table of 4, making it a table of 6. Is that still possible, and should I go to Open Table to reserve? I'll send you a PM.

Nancy, I just now changed the reservation to 6 people at 8:15, couldn't get 8:00 hope that's o.k with you and Mac and Karen? It's fine with us. 6 is a good number, I think.
This is going to be so much fun!

Dear Kathy,

Thank you for handling the additions to the reservations, and the time is fine with us. When we last wrote, we were about to leave on a vacation. It's great that Nancy and John will be joining us--you will get a chance to see just how nice Texans can be!

I just reserved a table for 3 for 7:30. Since Casey will be with us, decided to eat a little earlier. If anyone is interested in joining us, that would be fun.

So glad you are coming to Savannah!

When you arrive at the restaurant just mention you want to sit near "June" or the others who mention "Slow Trav."

I will speak to the maitre'd before Thurs. evening about trying to seat us near each other.

I didn't feel it was feasible to ask for a separate room. The tables appear to sit 4-6 people.

People may want to stay around after dinner in the bar/lounge/pool area which should be fine since we are dining there.
