Brenda, love that quote....by "you".

I was looking at the interesting salads and appetizers too!

And just think...we don't have to cook it ourselves. Smile

Kathy, Bill, Karen, Mac, Nancy L and John for 8:15 pm.

I will speak to the maitre'd the day before about seating ST people in the same area, but we'll have to go with whatever they come up with. J. Wine

Kendall, let me try and contact the restaurant to see if I can add you to our table. We have 5 now and the other tables have 6. I will get back to you as soon as I know if this is possible.

J.

I am sorry kendall, they could not add another to my table for 8pm. Maybe the people going at 7:30 or 8:15pm could give it a try. J.

Can I interest any of you Mansion diners in returning to the Mansion on Friday morning to join the other ST'ers for a cooking class? Terry and I signed up for the class because they do run a world renowned cooking school, but we are now not able to go to Savannah. Kim took one of our spots, but there is still one left.

The chef at The Mansion will host a 3 hour cooking class featuring low country cuisine, on Friday morning 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. The class is limited to ten people. The cost is $75 which includes the lunch.

Contact either me, or Leslie Erickson if you are interested.

Sheena, I too am very sorry you and Terry won't be coming to Savannah. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Terry's treatments are going well and will give him a clear and clean result. Fingers crossed and prayers sent heavenward.

Sheena, you already know how sad I am about you and Terry having to cancel out. I am sure he is disappointed. He's a lucky man to have you to be there for him. But......we will all feel your absence.

Update on dinner at the Mansion. We are now a table of 8 as Mary and Tom are joining us. I sure hope we all end up in the same area. It will be quite a large group altogether.

That's a good point, Jane.

Maybe one of you should call and request just that.
The dining areas are really many smaller rooms--it did really used to be a home. Each room is unique (different colors similar designs) and separate from the others. It would be wonderful for you to all be in one of the rooms at different tables.

Jan, I mentioned it when I called to change ours to 8. But,I think that June is really on top of this and is talking to them. You are right--it would be perfect for all of us to be in the same room. And we are staggered as to when we start so it would not be all the orders at once. Some of us have 7:30 reservations and others 8:00.

Is this Nancy L and "Thom" ... there was a little confusion with his being John at one point? Just checking!
Thanks.

Nancy, this is in fact Nancy L and 'John'.

If you are interested in having dinner at the Mansion on Thursday read back on this thread and you will see the groups who have reservations there. Contact one of the groups to see whether it is possible to join them.

Nancy, (Joywriter) I am Kathy of the 8:15 group. Are you still thinking of dinner? The reservation is in my name and I would be glad to call to see if we can add to our table.

Joywriter,
No one could fit me in at their table either. Do you want to get another table going? Let me know.

That's great. Why not about 8:00ish ... since it's Thursday evening it may not be a problem because there are other slowtravs booked at around this same time. Earlier is fine too, from about 7:00 if scheduling becomes a problem. Smile From what I've read, it can be done at their website?

I booked a table for four at 7:45pm. Since I am by myself we can accomodate one more person without changing anything.
