I just received confirmation for my tour at the Williams Mercer House.
The website did not allow a Canadian province to be put in, so I emailed them and they sent me my confirmation.

People in the U.S. can book their tours online at their site:

Thanks for the reminder!
I have been looking at a time midweek, because I've planned the tea with Jean from Savannah for noon'ish on Friday. I'm hoping to get in earlier in the week, so I don't cram too much stuff into too short a time period. That's my downfall...thinking I can do everything, then finding out I can't!
I'll let you know what time and date I arrange!

That's great Kendall. I'm really looking forward to seeing some of the places that were in the movie: "Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil".

I noticed from the booking site that they take reservations at 40 minute intervals for the Williams Mercer Museum.

So, keep that in mind if you are wanting to go to Jean's session that BGE is organizing or lunch on Friday.

How long does the tour last?
I have to meet Jean for our lunch with her at noon, and I don't think I'll have enough time to get from the Williams Mercer House tour to the location for our tea and lunch with Jean.
Rather than be running like a mad thing, maybe I'll look for a tour another day, unless there's a way for me to get to the restaurant fast! We are still planning the location, so I'm not quite sure where I'll be going. Argggghhhh!
I want to go with everyone! Frown

"Jim Williams moved into the Mercer House on Monterey Square after completing the Hampton Lillibridge restoration and became well known for his fabulous parties.
Some years after Williams' death, reports surfaced that visitors had observed lights and festivities in the elegant mansion on the very same night of the year as Williams' most opulent annual party - yet there had been no party. Eek
Nancy Roberts, a prolific South Carolina writer of tales of the supernatural reported in her book, Georgia Ghosts, that two New York visitors had witnessed this phenomena in 1994, five years to the day after Williams last big gala in 1989 that celebrated his acquittal in the Hansford shooting." ~ Hauntings Tour

This is all that I could find re: time intervals. They do answer emails because that is how I reserved my tickets.

Just confirmed my booking for the tour with everyone at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, April 4th, 2008!
So, I'm going to do it and then hurry afterwards to get to the lunch with Jean!
I was surprised that there was a spot left, but they were very gracious and welcomed me into that time slot with no trouble at all.

See you in Savannah!

""We had a judge back in the nineteen-thirties, a member of one of the city's leading families. He lived one square over from here in a big house with tall white columns.
His older son was going around town with a gangster's girlfriend.
The gangster warned him to stop, but the judge's son kept right at it.
One night the doorbell rang and when the judge opened the door, he found his son lying on the porch bleeding to death with his private parts tucked under his lapel.
The doctors sewed his genitals back on, but the body rejected them and he died.
The next day, the headline in the paper read FALL FROM PORCH PROVES FATAL.
Most members of that family still deny the murder ever happened, but the victim's sister tells me it's true." ~ Jim Williams as told to John Berendt

The strangest thing happened when I ordered a ticket for the Mercer House Tour. I wanted it for 10:30 AM on Monday, April 7, but they asked me to also include a second choice, so I put the same time on Tuesday. At the end of the transaction, they never told me which day I will be going on the tour. That's strange, right? Or maybe it's me? Confused I emailed them to ask about the day and hopefully I'll get a reply. Oh well, maybe I'll go both days.

Sherril,
Don't worry you should get an email anytime now with your appointment time. The same thing happened to me.

Sherril, I was confused too after booking my reservation online, so I called them up, and they were able to look up the reservation and tell me I had my first choice.

I also wasn't sure whether they were going to mail me the tickets, since I had reserved fairly far ahead, and I had to give a credit card and mailing address. But the woman on the phone told me the credit card was just in case I didn't show up, and then they would charge the card. She said the card wouldn't be charged ahead of time, and I would pay and get the tickets at the museum.

I never got any email confirmation after booking, although I didn't try to contact them via email.

Roz, I've emailed them a couple of times and got responses within a day.

The tickets are held there for pick up.

I didn't need to give cc info. at all and have an email response confirming my reser. time. J.
