Just a quick note to let all of you know that if you are thinking of staying at the Staybridge Suites accommodations, they will not be taking reservations for our group until after May 1st.
I just called there too to make a reservation, and weirdly they wouldn't let me reserve for any dates on either side of the 4th and 5th. I thought I would just reserve Thu and Sun as well for the time being, until I found out more about flight info. But "Ebony" at the desk told me their computer wouldn't accept anything except those two nights. Maybe I would have had to make a separate reservation if those two nights were the only ones blocked out for the Slow Trav group, but she didn't seem to know how to deal with it, so I just left it at that for now.
Also, another tip for those making reservations at Staybrige Suites using the local number. If you run into any type of complication while reserving April 4th & 5th, please ask to speak to the Sales Manager.
The same rate is available for AAA and senior members, and you may be able to book rooms online at those rates for a longer amount of time. I'm going to try soon.

P.S. I just did it, using our AAA membership. I reserved on-line for 5 days, April 1-6, and I got an average rate of $146.19, plus tax. The rates for the weekend were higher than the ST rate, but those for the weekdays were lower. AARP did not produce rates that were as good, which surprised me; usually they're the same.
