We have already contacted Slow Travel advertisers to give them the opportunity to participate in the Gathering. We are also asking MEMBERS for donations. The organizing team is looking for door prizes and small gifts for welcome bags. This would be a great way for you to be involved in the fun (whether or not you are able to attend the festivities in Savannah). You may also enclose business cards to advertise your business or service (does NOT have to be travel related)!
Door prizes will be awarded in a drawing held at our Saturday night dinner. The team is looking for prizes with a value of $10-50. A door prize might be an item from your business or area, a book about your area, a small piece of artwork, a useful travel accessory, or a gift certificate that can be redeemed on the internet. The team also hopes to have a few door prizes related to Savannah (such as gift baskets or books), which could be ordered on the internet prior to the Gathering. We have a list of items, and would be happy to choose one for you, or make shopping suggestions!
Welcome gifts will be included in special welcome bags given to each participant and can be branded with the name of your business. We are looking for 50 or more of each item. Welcome gifts might include small samples, pencils or pens, key chains, and other useful promotional items.
All donors of door prizes and welcome bag items will be recognized on the message board and in the program that will be distributed at the Gathering weekend. Door prize donors will also be announced during the drawing.
