Has anyone used a biking tour company that they would recommend? I've been looking at Iron Donkey or VBT.

Cycle Holidays Ireland (www.cycleholidaysireland.com) was wonderful. John and John Joe (I know!!) were super attentive, funny, knowledgable and accomodating. We had a exceptionally rainy tour and their quick thinking saved it. That John took all of our wet things to his house and dried them for us only made us love him more!

They vary the distances, give you lots of freedom and put you in great accomodations. We rode as a pair, alone for most of the week, partly because we are fitter than the average cyclist and partly because we did the longest routes he had available.

I really can't say enough good things about them. I can't say why they are less expensive than other companies, maybe its because its a dairy farmer and a history teacher who decided to run a small touring company, or maybe its because they know everyone everywhere and get good deals. Either way, we were completely plaseed with the trip.
