WOW! Thanks Maureen,
I am taking 21 theatre students to London from Jan. 1st to 12th and although we have already booked theatre tickets at great student prices they do have a few free nights so I am posting this link to all of them.

I know it's late notice, but -- I have two free tickets to Lord of the Rings for this Thursday. I'll be using one of them. Anyone want to come with?

Too bad no one could make it -- it was a great show! The acting was good, but the best part about it was what they were able to accomplish on that little stage. When I walked in (Drury Lane Theatre), I thought no way could they do any justice to the story on that tiny stage.

Oh was I wrong. I found myself saying "how clever!" quite a few times.

Only thing I would suggest is to not let them seat you right up front -- I was three seats from the stage. While it was fun being able to see the colour of their eyes, it wasn't fun being that close to the orchestra. My head was pounding at the end of it (I suppose the over-perfumed woman sitting next to me didn't help prevent the headache either Roll Eyes).

It was definitely worth it (okay, the tickets were free, but still) just to see the effects they were able to carry off in such a little space.
