My husband and I as well as another couple will be in London the last week in February. I would love to find a hotel or apartment in a "charming" neighborhood. Any ideas?

There are lots of places to choose from. I don't know London that well to recommend neighborhoods, but hopefully others will post recommendations.

Mayfair could not be more central or for that matter upscale. We rented an apartment there a couple of years ago: www.sandbach.co.uk/apt .
